SodaSlim Testing And Quality: What Each Mark Certifies

Read from the label artwork supplied with the product and from the seal set that ships alongside it.

The split in the middle column is the point of the table. Three marks are on the product. Five are in the marketing set. Neither group is dishonest, and they are different kinds of statement: one is printed on the thing you receive and the other is printed on the page that sold it to you.

The two worth the most attention are vegetarian and doctor developed. A vegetarian claim is a specification about the capsule shell, and no shell material is named anywhere in the label artwork or the seller's description. A doctor-developed claim names no doctor. Both are the kind of claim that would take one sentence to substantiate and has not been given one.

Good Manufacturing Practice is a set of procedural standards covering how a facility documents, controls and records what it produces: cleaning schedules, batch records, staff training, equipment calibration, complaint handling. A GMP-certified facility has been audited against those procedures.

What GMP does not do is test your capsule. It is a statement about how a factory operates, not about the contents of one bottle. A GMP facility can produce a capsule with an unremarkable amount of an active in it, entirely compliantly, as long as it documents doing so.

That is not a criticism of the mark. It is the difference between process certification and product testing, and it is the single most misread mark in this category.

A facility that manufactures dietary supplements for the United States registers with the FDA. Registration means the agency has the address and knows the facility exists. It is a requirement, not an endorsement.

It specifically does not mean the FDA has approved the product, tested it, reviewed its claims or inspected it recently. Dietary supplements are not approved by the FDA before sale; that is the whole structure of the law they are sold under, and it is why the disclaimer at the foot of every page on this site exists.

What is in the capsule, in what amount. No certificate of analysis is published for any lot, no potency assay is available, and no amount is printed on the label. Three routes to the same number, all closed.

For four of the five ingredients that is an inconvenience. For caffeine it is the number that decides how the capsule fits into a day, because the 2018 caffeine safety review gives a daily ceiling for healthy adults that only somebody who can count their intake can use.

The honest position, stated once: this desk can tell you what the label prints, what the marks mean, which lot the stock carries and where the published research sits. It cannot tell you the amount of anything in the capsule, and it will not estimate one.

What is actually in the capsule is what the final two rows would report, and neither of them exists for this product.

The gap between the top three rows and the bottom two is the whole subject of this page. Process marks describe how a factory works. Product testing describes what came out of it. They are different categories of evidence, and a bottle can carry every mark in the first group and none in the second.

That is not unique to SodaSlim, and on a page about testing it deserves to be said rather than implied. A buyer choosing between two capsules on the strength of their marks is usually comparing two sets of process claims and nothing else.
